WSO IS HELPING OTHERS GROW...IN MIND BODY AND SPIRIT.

Our Mission

Inspired by a wheelchair tennis exhibition held at UCLA in July '04, we decided to take action; thus founding the Watering Seeds Organization (WSO). An official 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation, WSO was founded to create sports rehabilitation and wellness opportunities for the disabled.

About Us

We believe everyone deserves the opportunity to live a full and meaningful life regardless of their circumstances. We all know life is unpredictable… From birth defects to diseases, and from war wounds to car accidents, lives are altered daily in mere seconds! In recognition of the increasing number of amputees and post-traumatic stress victims returning home from the war overseas, we focus on the importance of fostering independence and the rehabilitation of our Wounded Warriors.

Since 2005, WSO has been dedicated to empowering our youth, wounded warriors, and challenged civilians through adaptive sports, fitness and wellness programs, as well as media and live events. Our “Skills On Wheels” program offers education, equipment and training through adaptive / inclusive sports clinics and competitions. By creating a healthy, safe, positive and productive learning environment, we are giving hope and helping to build life skills, confidence and character to get disabled individuals “off the sidelines and into the game!”

At WSO, we employ a holistic lifestyle approach to health and wellness, which considers the body, mind, and spirit. Because they all work together, attention to all three is necessary to stay balanced.  Along with our strategic wellness partners, we are utilizing innovative, cutting edge modalities and technologies that heal and help improve lives while preventing suicides.

For example, we have partnered with Matthews Hope Foundation (www.MatthewsHope.org), which provides high level, abstinence-based recovery care guidelines and treatment plans that actually work to produce long term sobriety and prevent overdose and suicide death. These Recovery Care Guidelines include microcurrent neurofeedback technology (www.IasisTech.com) that effectively reboots the addicted brain so that it can begin to “self heal.”  This helps to minimize addictive cravings and restore natural endorphin production in diseased brains so that long-term sobriety can be restored.

Furthermore, WSO is widely recognized by the U.S. Department of Defense for providing Wounded Warrior Care as well as Entertainment for the Troops and their families to raise morale.  We have hosted and/or participated in numerous nationally recognized charitable events and public awareness campaigns that have been featured on network television segments along with other notable nonprofits. Many celebrities and public figures have supported WSO over the years such as former California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, Muhammad Ali, Wayne Gretzky, Tommy LaSorda, Dr. Dre, Ray Romano, Jason Alexander, Jessica Biel (and family), the Gronkowski family and Gronk Nation Foundation, along with numerous professional sports teams including the Los Angeles Lakers and Dodgers, the Houston Astros and Texans, as well as the Dallas Cowboys.

We humbly ask you to join us in “watering seeds” within our community so that those afflicted with challenges will grow to bear fruit. Your support means more than money. You are providing hope, healing, and an opportunity to live a more fulfilling life!
